This is your typical Alex Cross murder mystery。 If you have read a James Patterson previously and did not like his style then you will not like this book。 If you like his style then you will probably enjoy the book。It is a decent Patterson book。 Pace is fairly quick。 I enjoyed the read。

A compelling read。 The Vice President’s ex-wife is found murdered in her car with the principal of a charter school。 They have been stripped of their belongings。 Meanwhile young blank women are being abducted， raped and killed。 You’ll have to read the book to see how it all weaves together。

Alex Cross always delivers！I am never disappointed in a novel from this series。 There is always a good mix of crime drama， suspense， and family reality。 We must never forget that our people in law enforcement have families at home that they love and are loved by them

How many of you will come after me if I say that this book was boring as hell？ Just let me know so that I can hire some security details because I am going to say it again。 This book was boring and the only thing deadly about Deadly cross was that it was deadly boring。 In all fairness I know Alex cross is like an iconic character。 They have movies featuring him， the series have probably sold millions of copies and I too might have come across one or two books and loved it but this book was not i How many of you will come after me if I say that this book was boring as hell？ Just let me know so that I can hire some security details because I am going to say it again。 This book was boring and the only thing deadly about Deadly cross was that it was deadly boring。 In all fairness I know Alex cross is like an iconic character。 They have movies featuring him， the series have probably sold millions of copies and I too might have come across one or two books and loved it but this book was not it。 For starters everything in the book was so depressing and sad right from the onset。Correct me if I am wrong but was Alex cross books supposed to be a whining account of the central character’s personal and professional life？ This book in my opinion was stuck too much with personal turmoils and emotions。 MAN THERE WAS LIKE A TSUNAMI OF EMOTIONS…。 SO MUCH EMOTIONS …。 Emotions eating， sleeping， running， weeping， sweeping…basically all over the pages。 This is a problem for me when I am picking up a book for the sake of a good fashioned investigative thriller。 I wanted to read about blood， murder and investigation and not how much ache is there is in the heart or for that matter in the aging bones。 I want to see bloody heart but not heart ache…if you get my drift …（ MY GOD ！！ I am getting pretty violent ）。 So basically what I was saying before I went all JASON X in my review is that this particular book dealt with more about familial aspects， friends and their relationship with our central character which kind of made it fluttering away from the core plotSpeaking about core plot， I felt it was playing hide and seek。 Appearing some where in between all those EMOTIONS and then disappearing and then appearing suddenly。 So you tend to lose grip on it during the course。 Eventually it all sort of conveniently come together and not crisply and not that effectively as you would have expected。 It was more like happening out of convenienceWhy do I get the feeling that I am writing my own death note by going against an iconic character？ Well to be honest my disappointment might be also the result of having too much expectation from the book and it not delivering it。 I personally couldn’t cope with the fact that the book didn’t had too much attention paid to the investigative part but rather focussed itself on more of the Family and personal relationship aspects 。。。more

Book number 28！ I have been reading this whole series since the very beginning！ I don’t know how the author does it but each book does stay interesting and new developments are always happening。 Enjoyable read！ At the end of this book， I listened to it on audiobook， there was some information about James Patterson。 He has donated millions of dollars toward education and given thousands of books to people in need。 I was very impressed！
